HANG ON TO YOUR DREAM
by Derek Banner

When a dream comes knocking
And we turn our back and never answer
Like a telephone call with a wrong number
We hang up on our dream

We forget when we were a child
We used to dream what we wanted to be
These are long gone days
And we think it’s too late
We hang up on our dream

Don’t you change your number
You still got plenty (of) dreams to answer
We live once and it’s never too late to start over
So you better just keep on dreaming
And hang on to your dreams

Everybody gets a second chance
Even a third, a fourth, a fifth chance
So you better just keep on dreaming
And hang on to your dreams
You better just keep on dreaming
And hang on to your dreams.

Don’t you forget the little child in you
Coz that’s who you truly are
Being an adult is a role we play
When we have bills to pay
So you better just keep on dreaming
And hang on to your dreams

Don’t you hang up
Hang on to your dreams

Don’t you hang up
Hang on to your dreams
